Mount Shasta
Mount Shasta represents true healing and purification.
Physically, it is an active volcano often covered in snow and ice, that towers 14,179 feet above sea level. It is located in the Cascade Range in Siskiyou County, California, about a 5-hour drive north of the Bay Area, close to the border of California with Oregon.
Spiritually, Mount Shasta is known as one of the sacred mountains of the world, sometimes named the Root Chakra of the Earth according to the seven-chakra system. The mountain and its vicinity is conducive for spiritual practice that is grounded in earthly reality.
I often use "climbing a mountain" as an analogy to this approach to healing. Everyone must climb for themselves, although I can serve as a guide and supporter along the way. However far up each person gets is a result of each person's own effort.
